Still available with three standard bed sizes including 5 feet, 8 inches, 6 feet, 6 inches and 8 feet long, the new Silverado is now attainable with a 6.5 foot bed as well. The tailgate has a circular damper along with a centralized tension bar that makes for an easier and quieter bed opening and closing.
Giving you the option of leather, vinyl or cloth, the Silverado’s new interior is a luxurious design that is appealing to all different family sizes. Also having the most spacious cabin room that the Chevy Silverado has been seen along with a better ride quality than ever, the new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 is one of the top choices of among all truck owners. The Crew Cab rear doors have been manufactured much larger than previous models that allow for easier vehicle entry. Adding to the recent sleek additions to the Silverado are the advanced LED lighting system that is now present under the truck’s bed rails. Additionally, adding to its top of the line technology, the Silverado is now equipped with blind spot mirror that makes driving more safe than ever.
Other enhancements include revised suspension tuning for a better quality ride. In addition, the Z71 trim features special shock absorbers, hill descent control, a heavy-duty air cleaner, underbody shields and recovery hooks.
Fuel economy ratings for this 2WD V6 Silverado are impressive as well, with an estimated 19 mpg combined average (16 mpg city and 23 mpg highway). Its EPA rating is similar to the 4WD model with 16 mpg’s in the city and 22 mpg’s on the highway.
