Ford has revealed the 2014 Focus facelift. As you may have read, the new U.S. based model will be showcased, next month, at the Geneva Motor Show. On the outside, the 2014 Ford Focus facelift adopts Ford’s most recent front fascia.
It features an Aston Martin-inspired grille, a restyled set of headlights, a bigger bumper and new side skirts. In the back, Ford has added a more sporty air diffuser and new taillights.
Inside the cabin, the 2014 Ford Focus facelift is featuring a redesigned center console which is coming with fewer buttons. In addition, the high-end versions will be available with an 8 inch touchscreen display which will work with the all-new Sync2 multimedia system. More than that, the interior of the 2014 Ford Focus facelift is featuring better materials and some chromed accessories.
In terms of technology, the new 2014 Ford Focus facelift will come with Perpendicular Parking system, Cross Traffic Alert system and other active safety features.
New engines for the 2014 Ford Focus facelift
Under the hood, the new 2014 Ford Focus facelift will feature a brand-new 1.5 EcoBoost gasoline engine. It will be available in two power versions: 150 and 180 horsepower. The new 1.5 EcoBoost unit will be built exclusively in Craiova, Romania.
For the diesel fans, Ford will offer a new 1.5 liter TDCi unit also available in two power versions: 95 HP and 120 horsepower. According to Ford, all engines can be matted either to a manual gearbox, or to an automatic Powershift transmission.
The 2014 Ford Focus facelift will be available by the end of this year and pricing will be announced closer to launch.
