Porsche has announced they have detected the 911 GT3 fire risk problems. As you know, a few days ago, the German car manufacturer has stopped the deliveries of its newest sports car.
The Stuttgart engineers have found what was causing the 911 GT3 to be a fire hazard, but the German officials didn’t disclose the details. Now they are currently testing the solution.
Two Porsche 911 GT3 involved in fire incidents
According to Porsche all the units delivered have been recalled after two cars caught fire several weeks ago in Europe.
The technical solution will be announced shortly and at first they will inform the existing owners.
As a reminder, those two vehicles suffered from a cracked engine block which leaked oil into the hot exhaust system. Luckily, no accident or injuries were related to those incidents.
