The 2014 Mercedes-Benz SL is both a success symbol and a classic roadster. The new SL-Class was refurbished with lighter materials, fresh design and gee-whiz technology to build a hardtop convertible true to its nomenclature of a lightweight sport car.
It’s an understatement saying that the 2014 Mercedes SL roadsters are potent. The SL550 has twin-turbo V8 engine producing 429 horsepower. SL63 AMG is a step up with a bigger twin-turbo V8 engine. The SL65 AMG has a twin-turbo V12 producing an outstanding 621 horsepower. All 2014 SL models use 7-speed automatic transmission to drive the power to rear wheels.
