Mercedes-Benz has officially unveiled the 2016 Mercedes-Benz SL facelift. The car will be showcased during the 2015 Los Angeles Motor Show, the event that will took place later this week.
2016 Mercedes-Benz SL facelift – Exterior
The front part of the 2016 Mercedes-Benz SL facelift has a larger diamond grille, a bigger logo, new AMG GT-inspired headlights and a modified front bumper with larger air intakes. At the back, the 2016 Mercedes-Benz SL facelift features redesigned taillights with new graphics, a tweaked bumper with an integrated air diffuser and new chrome exhaust pipes.
If you are looking at the 2016 SL AMG 63 you will see some carbon fiber accents on the bumpers and side sills. The special wheels are matted with Continental ContiSportContact tires. The range-topping SL AMG 65 features silver accents for bumpers, new rims and V12 BiTurbo badges mounted on the fenders.
2016 Mercedes-Benz SL facelift – Interior
Inside the cabin, the 2016 Mercedes-Benz SL facelift has a bigger display mounted on the center console, a special watch on the dash, some carbon fiber accents and a new controller for the driving modes. As you may have read, the latter one allows the diver to select five different modes: Individual, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Race.
2016 Mercedes-Benz SL facelift – Engine lineup
For now we don’t know what will be the engine lineup for the 2016 Mercedes-Benz SL facelift but we know for sure that all the units will be matted with the 9G-Tronic automatic transmission. More than that, we know that we will see an AMG 63 and an AMG 65 versions.
