2015 Infiniti QX80 Review

/ by:

With its first-rate cabin materials, surprisingly agile handling and strong engine, 2015 Infiniti QX80 is the luxury large SUV leaving the competition in the dust. The QX80 (formerly known as the QX56) is Infiniti’s answer to the large SUV crowd. Built on a truck frame and powered by a 400-hp V-8 with a seven-speed automatic this is one SUB that can accelerate quickly or tow a trailer and be comfortable with both tasks. Cheaper than its competitors, but just as comfortable and quiet, the QX80 is everything you would want in a luxury SUV and more.

While some critics complain that is feels heavy on the road, we applaud it for that as it gives you a solid feel while still being nimble enough to handle the turns without complaint. In our 2015 Infiniti QX80 Review we found the steering to be light and precise and the oversized brakes gave it good stopping power.

More amenities for the 2015 Infiniti QX80

On the inside, you will find upscale wood and leather as well as exceptional styling to make the most of those materials. There is plenty of cargo and passenger room on tap, although the third row is slightly cramped for adults. You will find a nice collection of the latest technology as is usually standard in this class. The Infiniti QX80 offers Bluetooth, satellite radio, tri-zone automatic climate control, a 13-speaker Bose stereo system, a USB port, an 8-inch touch-screen display and Infiniti’s Around View Monitor. Safety features abound in this SUV as it has adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, forward collision warning, lane departure warning and forward emergency braking.

2015 Infiniti QX80 Review: The SUV of choice in the large SUV class

On the road, the QX80 is smooth and offers a good feel in the AWD package. It also comes in rear wheel drive for those not needing the extra traction in the snowy parts of the country. At an as tested price of just over $66K, the 2015 Infiniti QX80 should be a consideration if you are looking for a large size, luxury SUV. Take a look at some of the Infiniti QX80 pictures and you just might be hooked.
