Toyota has announced on the official Facebook page of the Dubai International Motor Show the introduction of a sedan concept of the GT 86. Under these conditions, we are very sure that Toyota will create a sedan version of the “happy” GT 86 model.
According to rumors, the Toyota GT 86 Sedan Concept will feature the same platform as the coupe version but the wheelbase is stretched by 3.9 inches (100mm) to increase space for the back passengers. Under the hood the GT 86 Sedan Concept will feature the same four cylinders, 2.0 liter engine. It can deliver 200 horsepower and 205 Nm peak of torque.
According to voices there could be a hybrid version of the GT 86. It will probably come with the same technology used on the Yaris Hybrid-R Concept, the prototype seen at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. This version will boast 268 horsepower and is expected to be 15 percent more economical than the standard version.
The production version of the Toyota GT 86 Sedan will probably be unveiled at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
