Ferrari has officially unveiled the 2015 F12tdf model. As you may have read, rumors indicate that this model will carry the GTO or the Speciale moniker, but today Ferrari is putting an end to all.
The new 2015 Ferrari F12tdf will be built in 799 units and it will probably carry a heavy price tag.
2015 Ferrari F12tdf – Engine and performance
Under the hood of the 2015 Ferrari F12tdf is the same V12 6262 cc engine that is able to deliver 780 horsepower at 8.500 rpm and 705 Nm peak of torque at 6.750 rpm. We are talking about a 40 HP and 15 Nm peak of torque increase compared to the F12 Berlinetta. More than that, the F1 DCT transmission was tweaked to have shorter gear ratios and fast upshifts and downshifts.
As a result, the 2015 Ferrari F12tdf is able to run from stand still to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, while the not to 200 km/h is done in 7.9 seconds. The top speed was clocked at 340+ km/h.
According to the Italian car manufacturer, the test drivers have already put the car against the Fiorano track and the 2015 Ferrari F12tdf managed to lap it in 1 minute and 21 seconds.
2015 Ferrari F12tdf – Exterior
The 2015 Ferrari F12tdf also features a modified exterior compared to the F12 Berlinetta. It has lots of carbon fiber components that have managed to shift about 110 kilograms. The aerodynamic was worked in the wind tunnel and now, the 2015 Ferrari F12tdf is 100% more efficient against air. As an example, at 200 km/h the 2015 Ferrari F12tdf generates 230 kg of downforce compared to the 107 kilograms generated by the F12 Berlinetta.
